A Sunday Afternoon Outing

On a sunny afternoon in 1925, Dr. L. R. Woodward takes his brood, Edward (9 yrs.), Adelia (7 yrs.) and Arthur (2 yrs.) for a rowing excursion off Dodges Point Beach on beautiful Clear Lake. Lone Tree Point appears in the distance. It is fall, and a chill remains in the air despite the sunshine, so our stalwart crew have layered themselves for a bit of extra warmth. No doubt they are looking forward to a hot dinner of Iowa Country Fried Chicken, being prepared by Mother Lynne in the kitchen of Pei Tai Ho.
